When my heart was grieved and my spirit embittered, I was senseless and ignorant; I was a brute beast before you. Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory. Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:23-26 (NIV)

If we commit our lives to Christ, He will have a tight hold on us. He will guide us with His perfect counsel through life’s temptations and troubles. Do not be mistaken, there is only One in heaven who can and will do this for us. And there is no substitute here on earth for our Heavenly Father. Don’t be foolish to think that any thing or anyone here on this earth can heal our hearts and mellow our spirits. We may be weak but God’s Spirit is strong in us. Let’s put our trust in His Spirit.

What difficulties are you going through right now that you need to surrender over to Jesus? Commit your life to Christ and not only will He guide you through but He will hold you tightly near to Himself. That’s exactly where you need to be.
